Mastering the Mysteries of Love Mary Ortwein, MS
Qualify to teach the 8 hour Mastering the Mysteries of Love (MML) based on
Bernard Guerney's classic Relationship Enhancement (RE) model
. Plus add-on
special focus seminars. Ideal for low-income, communty, or faith based.
$150 spouse discount.

Bernard Guerney’s Relationship Enhancement Program (RE) has set
the standard for marriage and relationship education for the past forty years.
Twenty-seven published research studies confirm that the 10 RE skills
and coached couples dialogues can educate hearts and transform relationships.

In the newest, easy-to-teach formats, the RE skills are presented through live or video
demonstration combined with engaging activities and practiced through couple dialogue.
The handouts and course materials are inexpensive and written for easy reading and easy learning.

You will be authorized and ready to teach the 8 hour MML program which focuses
on building couple intimacy and strength. You will be ready to teach 6 RE skills (Showing
Understanding, Expression, Discussion, Coaching, Conflict Management, and Problem Solving).
You will be able to teach these materials in both secular and Christian formats.

Add-on trainings (which may be completed via distance learning or in one day workshops)
will equip you to teach the FULL range of MML programs.
These add-ons include:

Mastering the Mysteries of Love RE, Part 2 – This additional 8 hours of the MML program
focuses on effective problem solving.  Couples learn the remaining RE skills, develop
affection building habits, and solve three of their most troubling or resistent problems.

Ready for Love RE for Singles and Solos—This format teaches singles and solos
(those who are in a relationship, but who attend Marriage Education alone) the RE skills
and stimulates thought about relationship expectations, choosing a partner, and working
through relationship problems.

Love’s Cradle RE—Love’s Cradle provides RE skill training for couples with young children,
married or unmarried.  Especially well suited for low income participants, it includes core
skills, plus special sections on managing money, thinking about marriage, building trust,
and handling complex relationships, such as those with ex-partners or troublesome relatives.
Developed in conjunction with Mathematica Policy Research and ACF for the Building Strong
Families initiative for unmarried parents.  It is also used in numerous Headstart settings.

Relationship Enhancement for Refugees and Immigrants—This program, developed in
conjunction with the US Committee for Refugees and Immigrants, uses a colorful, simple
book to teach RE skills AND help families support each other while they adjust to American culture.

Spanish–Couple and Leader Materials are available in Spanish, as well as video and other
teaching aids. Mastering the Mysteries of Love is being used in Latino-focused HMI
projects in Texas, Massachusetts, California, Georgia, and Florida.
