Singles are warmly invited to attend the Smart® Conferences.
There are workshops and educational programs for singles - whether never married, divorced or widowed.
The whole conference is suitable for - and attended by - single, engaged,
cohabiting, divorced, single parents, widows & widowers, gays and lesbians, all
ethnic groups, etc. The skills work for everyone. (Married folks also attend without their
spouse - though it's much more fun if you can bring them along.)
And, anyone can teach these marriage and relationship education courses.
Singles attend to take the training and become certified Marriage Educators or to use the skills in their
practice. In addition, there are courses focused on working with single populations,
like "How to Avoid Falling For A Jerk", "Journey to Love for Singles Again", "Remarriage:
The Second Time Around", "Dating and Marriage: 4 Keys to Success", "Basic Training," and "Adult Children of Divorce:
Change Your Odds" etc – focused on working with single populations. Even if you are not interested
in becoming an instructor, attend and learn the skills for your own enrichment. Click here for a list of
classes recommended for singles: /single.track.html
At past conferences, attendees said they'd like a way to meet other singles - someone who, like them,
might hope to someday have a "Smart Marriage®". Or, just meet other singles to hang out with during the congerence.
So we feature a special singles-only seminar, opening night. No additional registration or fee required. If
you have a conference badge, and you are single or single-again, you are registered. Just show up.
Scott Haltzman "Marriage Secrets for Singles" Thurs July 8, 8:45pm. 1.5 hrs CE. For all ages and stages of singlehood. See room locator schedule on-site.
We've also created (optional)"singles" stickers for your conference badges so singles can recognize each other.
(These are discrete and no one else even notices them.)
Plus a
GLBT opening night mixer. Thurs, July 8, 8:45pm. See room locator schedule on-site.
Many singles find roommates - 2 to 4 to a room. It's a great way to cut costs plus it's nice to
have a "conference buddy" to hang out with. To find a roommate,
